Europe Tour 2004

This is Pete and Misty's big trip to Europe. We left Boise April 22nd at noon and after a six hour layover in Seattle, arrived at London's Heathrow Airport at noon the next day. The flight from Seattle to Heathrow was 9.5 hours of fun on a 747 400. Unfortunately, Misty got food poisoning out of Seattle airport so her flight sucked. Nothing like throwing -up 11 times in 9.5 hours. Of course this also made the one hour trip into London just as much fun with us getting off the train about every 3 to 5 stops for Misty to "gather herself" for the next little stretch. Thankfully after a good nights sleep, there was no other problems on the trip.

After four hot, sunny days in London we took the chunnel to Paris. Paris in the spring time is beautiful! Two days in Paris and we headed to Versailles, and then off to Switzerland. Switzerland is wonderful, we just made a very quick stop, one day, but we know we will have to go back to see more later. From Switzerland we moved to Italy, this was a challenge due to the famous "Italian Train Strikes." Rome was fun, and we crammed as much as we could into one day before taking the train to Munich. The last of our free days were spent truly enjoying Germany before beginning the trip back to London via Brussels (of course we bought some chocolate!) Our last day wandering London and relaxing and then the long flight back to Seattle, a four hour layover with jetlag, and we were home at 1130pm on May 10th.
