Twins! Katherine Joy and Joseph Mathias Neisen

Pete and Misty are proud to announce the arrival of Katherine Joy and Joseph Mathias! They arrived on June 16, 2006. Katherine was born at 6:07 pm and her brother followed almost 2 hours later (poor Misty) at 8:01. Joseph weighed in at 6 lbs 2 oz and his sister was a bigger 6 lbs 5 oz. Joseph is taller though at 20 1/4 inches long. Katherine is 19 1/4 inches long. Joseph had to be assisted out with the vacuum, so he has a pretty nasty bruise on his head. Both Mom and the kids are doing well.

Update 06/28/06: After a bout with Jaundice, both kids are doing good. At their second doctor's appointment they had each almost put on a pound in a week. We think they are getting enough to eat! We are somehow getting enough sleep and Elizabeth is really enjoying her new brother and sister.

Update 07/08/06: As you can see from the pictures, we have had a lot of help and visitors. Aunt Carrie and Grandma Marie have been taking turns staying with us and helping out. Great Grandpa Ambrose came for a visit over the 4th of July and we even got to see cousins Kelli and Daniel when Shane's family stopped by on their way to Buhl. Many other friends and family have helped with meals, watching Lizzy, etc. Thanks!
